They are moving production to Mexico, here is a link to the story about it.
for te info 2bom
http://www.atvsource.com/articles/press_re...ring_mexico.htm

It looks like the new Spyder will be built in Canada. My 2007 Outlander was still built in Canada, but I have heard late 2007 or early 2008 models will come out of the new plant in Mexico
I am sorry I did not know that !!
Thanks for the Info "2Bombs"
I am not worried about the price or production there ! I am concerned about the Technology in Mexico from within due to the education comparison of Canada an Mexico and the Quality maybe. Mexicans work very hard around here but I have seen some cases where a Roofing company had to go back an completely replace 30 different Roofs due to workmanship an another case where a friend hired Carpenters to Frame in a Bathroom an had to completely redo the framing an bath. Each time these workers said they could do it an could not or did not have the training not sure if it is "fake it till ya make it " or what ! I mean I have two people of Mexican decent working for me now an both are some of the best I have on the other hand they both went to schools in the USA.

I work for a large, electronics company, and we've moved all of our manufacturing jobs to Mexico, India, and China. The plants in India and China are doing Ok, but the plants in Mexico can't produce anything that meets spec. In fact the workers on the production line can't even read Spanish. It's pretty bad when the Mexican education system fails to teach it's own people to read or write their own language.

well it seems to me that if the 08's are built in mexico and they have been improved from the 07's then Can am may of made a good decision.

that's why i buy my outty before can-am going to mexico,i visited a factory at Valcourt ,Québec and the quality control is generally good, but i dont expect they can do the same in mexico, i dont understand why they do that, nothing happened about the (cost)of ski-doo and sea-doo that they built at the same factory, if the quality is going down and the claim is going up ,i dont know where they expect us to save

I heard the reason they are moving the assembly of some Can-Ams to Mexico is because BRP owns a boat motor company there. I am just not sure of which one, but talk was there was extra room in the plant and labor of course is cheapier in Mexico.
I pick-up my 07 Outty at the end of June 07, does anyone know the serial number breaks of which ones where assembled in Valcourt and which ones in Mexico.
I have no problem either way, we have alot of Mexicans living and working in our area and they are hard working people to say the least!
