BRP,is it possible to bring an atv across the border...say U.S to Canada and have a warranty?

If you have your bill of sale to prove your purchase date you should have warranty for a warrantable repair.
I spoke to my dealer about it and he said they (Lakeland Power Sorts) would warranty any machine from the states, He said that BRP wont match prices with the states so why should the customer suffer? The dealers make their money off of warranty work and extras so why wouldnt they.
There's alot of other manufactures as well that do not have warranty once you bring them across the border, for example Kawi, Honda, Suz, Cat, Yamaha.... I do not think BRP products would be any different.
As a matter of fact, I have heard that Artic Cat dealers have been reporting quads and sled serial number to head office and when the guy takes it back to his selling dealer in the US, he gets a huge surprise and finds out the warranty has been VOID. It happened to a couple of guys around here and boy are they PI$$ed off.

This is good to know Jaker800 as I just got my Outlander from the US and when I called BRP for my recall clearance letter the woman tried to tell me that I had voided my warranty the second I crossed the border. Did she ever back pedal on that when I informed her I have a US and a Canadian residence.
