New to Spyder, but owned CanAm products for about a decade...Is the banging in the transmission when starting and going into reverse or 1st gear normal?, it seems a bit harsh as far as noise and the initial bang, it actually jolts the bike a bit. I've seen videos on starting it in 1st or reverse and the bang doesn't happen when going into reverse and 1st when in one or the other. (vids mention that transmission oil is in the pan and takes a minute for it to circulate),This is a 2025 sea to sky, and when the motor starts it automatically goes into neutral, so i can't be in 1st or reverse....Normal sound?? or??

Hi

I was concerned when I first got my 2022 RTL, but after watching several videos and seeing other Spyders they all make the same noise. I have noticed with mine that if you let it warm up a bit prior to riding, about 5 minutes, the bang is lessened.

A friend of mine has a 1330 F3 with overs 200,000 klms on the clock and has had no transmission issues.

So I don't really worry about, just cringe at the noise.

Regards Wayne
