PLEASE HELP! Brakes stopped working on my Spyder

Hey All! I'm hoping someone on here can please help me out. I have a 2009 Spyder manual. I was riding it the other day, I pushed on the brake pedal and no brakes at all! I'm fine, nobody hurt I just costed to the side of the road.
There is no way I can afford to take it to a mechanic (going through divorce).
Riding was my one stress relief. I'm an IT geek and not very mechanically inclined (I have though changed rotors and brake pads on my car using a YouTube video).
Under my seat there are two plastic caps (which looks like they go to the same plastic container), read this is for brake fluid. The cap towards the back of the bike was full. The cap towards the front of the bike was empty. I put dot4 brake fluid in it and still no brakes.
I also looked under the bike for like a broken brake line but I do not see anything broken/leaking.
Could anyone please help me?
Thanks very much in advance l!

Apparently you have little mechanical aptitude, Drake, and as such my advice is to get a qualified machanic to check and fix. A Can Am dealer/workshop is best but not necessarily so with this problem. Cost? Yes, but how much depends upon the cause.
