Hey there, I'm from palmer Mass, a riders group sounds like a great thing to me. I am looking forward to getting my Spyder soon, I put my deposit down in February, It has been a long wait.
Heard that Brother. Aint it silly how we get SOOOO worked up over something that really has little effect on our life???
That being said, "I can't wait!!!!" Sold the BMW R1150 R/T and am anticipating a new way to enjoy the open road.

I've taken test rides in VA and then up in central MA. Met my son there in Barre and we each took one out for a nice 30 min ride. He was quite impressed and I later sent in my deposit. I live in Pittsburgh and my nearest dealer in Buck's in Akron, NY (nr Buffalo), which is 240 miles away. I'm scheduled for the Feb/Mar delivery.

also riding Triumph Sprint 955 and a Kaw KLR

Am wondering what you ordered for add-ons? I ordered mine stock yellow, and am waiting for others to offer things at more reasonable prices.
Also, am without a garage, am wondering what might be best way to store spyder for next winter? Any thoughts?

My first suggestion would be to locate a SECURE place to store it during the winter. A car cover will offer you some protection against the elements but won't help much in the theft department. Even covered up, it will make a VERY tempting target for someone.

I would look into a storage facility....I know around here in upstate NY they have small ones that would fit the spyder for around $30 a month.....and it would be secure.

I am driving mine into my shed, parking it, setting up the electrical fence, laser sensors, mine 10 feet out in front of the shed all around it and mount a robotic 50mm cannon on the top of the shed with a motion sensor,,, if they get past that and get into the shed,,,, well that is where Ill have a suprise waiting for them,,,,,, 10 very hungry lions watching over my spyder lol lol,,,,,

Ill park it under the front of my 5th wheel camper, board up the front as normal and then tarp the entire thing over. A they wont see it, B if they know it is there, it will take the some time to get at it,, C, that area is NOT shoveled, in fact, I pile up the snow in that area lol lol,, and D, it will be chained to the camper legs.

Hi, Someone wanted to know where I bought my Spyder. I went for a demo ride and bought from Higgins Power Sports in Barre Mass. I got a good reference from a friend and really liked everyone there. They just sent me the "jacket" and it actually fit
I live in Storrs, Connecticut which is a little bit of a hike, but not too bad. Bought the yellow one.

Best way to prevent a theft is to not let anyone on to the fact that its there. In my experiance thats a MUCH better way to protect somthing than adding chains alarms, etc.

If they dont know its there they wont try to steal it!

Also, sdimple thing to do would be remove the tires, it would be a PITA to steal with no tires.
