First there needs to be a leader.Folks, we created a new forum for planning this event![]()
First there needs to be a leader.
What type of events?
Will this be committee run or just a single leader?
How will we notify the non members of SpyderTalk?
How about venders?
What about all the other Spyder Owners that are NOT part of the "First Owners Group".
How will you verify that a owner is really a "First Owners Group" Owner.
Will this be just a free for all for all owners?
When does it snow first of September or last of September?
Would BRP be willing to issue each "First Owners Group" Member a wallet size plastic membership card (like a credit card size) with ID # like the national HOG does.Great list. Billybob is our leader but will need our help. Let's toss around ideas in here. Ilike the committee idea.

Better yet the membership number could be for the first 2500 what each owner's production number of the 2500 such as #2500-0678.
The all reservations could be held and verified in person with the membership card as 1 of the 2500, if you don't have a number lower than #2500-2500 then they pay market rate or don't get in. The card could also say "First Owners Group" on it and BRP should give the first 2500 free life membership to the nation group.
Pay? Being I'm not a motorcycle owner and have never gone to or paid much attention to other biker events, it never occured to me that there would be an entry fee. I thought this was more along the lines of a get together, ride together through beautiful scenery, swap stories kinda thing. I'm not saying I'm opposed to paying if there is something that will require it like a hall rental or whatnot but I'm not geeked about chipping in for kegs, parties, bands, etc. as I am not interested in that scene for this event.
This is a non-profit gathering. You'll be responsbile for making your own lodging reservations and for your eats. There maybe a small fee for guided rides. This is all the information that we have at this time.Pay? Every National group membership has a yearly fee at the national level and the local level, this has nothing to do with the gathering. This is a non-profit gathering. Bill and I are going to touch base soon on main details...location, date, etc. I agree nailing that down is key...everything will roll from there. We have run smaller events like this for our sister site Dootalk.com. We could even set-up on-line registration, print out name tags, work up commemorative shirts, etc.So things that are for sure?
Gatlinburg TN?
September 08?
'A select loaction in North America in the Fall 2008"Saounds ;ilr BRP and the Spyder, sorry..![]()
I really think if a place and date is set, it will come togther, like billy bob said, if 3 show up it would be great. As far knowing first owners, what about the jacket and the plaque on the roadstar?
