We have been thinking of adding HMF to our product line. Anyone have some feedback on their products? Quality, sound, fit & finish, etc.....
If we do carry them, who would be interested in a group buy?

Devin-

I have not heard great things about HMF quality. Other sites I go to some members have had issues with end cap blow-outs, discoloring (on anodized), and the need to frequently repack....maybe more than other brands. And I have heard that they can be loud, but like most manufacturers they probably offer quiet inserts. However, I am sure that given any group of people who buy a product, you will get as many different opinions as there are people.

I have heard good things about Big Gun exhausts. Everyone I talk to that has one loves them.

If you are looking for a group buy, I'm sure you'll get activity if the price is right; people love a bargain.

We use their sport series on all of our sport quads.

They seem to perform better on Yamaha's than anything else we've run. I've only had one pipe that has had issues with rivets backing out and general fit and finish.

From a performance standpoint, we really like'em. However, we've never heard a "quiet" HMF pipe. They will blow right past 100dB and fail every sound test. Maybe some of their newer models are better, but even their suggested Rhino pipe is really loud, and since it's a side-by-side, it makes me wonder just how loud their utility pipes are as well.

I run an HMF utility series on my Outty and have been very happy with it. I also run the quiet core and it isn't excessively loud. It gets pretty noisy up in the 6K rpm range but at normal trail speeds, you can't even hear the pipe over the CVT whine. In fact, I am surprised at the compliments that I get on the sound of the pipe from the riders behind me. However, I will change the HMF pipe out for the OEM pipe for hunting season coming up because it is considerably louder than the stock pipe. The packing has held up for the year that I have been running it and I haven't had any issues with fit or finish. All in all, I am happy with my HMF product and would recommend HMF to others.
