I wait all year for football. It kind of sucks because I love riding in the fall in South Dakota. I guess thats why there is 2 days in a weekend. One for football and one for riding.

Seahawks since I was 4 years old. I have spent a lot of years taking alot of crud from alot of people and finally they have become a team that can win on any given day.

Patriots for life.
I have been a pat's fan forever, before they won thier 4(?) superbowls in a row. They just hammered the Jet's this afternoon, but the Colts and Chargers still look like they got something going...

Patriots die-hard here too! You wouldn't know it from my location but I spent a few years in Mass in the late 80's and have been hooked as a New England fan ever since...

I know it's hard seeing this as a Pats fan...but that's the shame in the whole deal to me. The Pats are clearly (IMO) the best team in the league and should beat most teams every Sunday without cheating. But now everything is tarnished somewhat. Just seems like Bill got carried away...doesn't make any sense given the circumstances.

If you watched the game last night, the whole "camera" thing, as it was explained, is actually laughable. John Madden said that as a coach, the information he would get from recording the defensive coordinator is practically useless because the offensive coordinator calls his play PRIOR to the defensive coordinator. Therefore, it is almost impossible to custom-tailor your offensive play to a defensive formation. In addition, the teams are legally able to photograph defensive plays up to 4 times in relationship to the timeclock, and are allowed camera personnel who can record what is essentially the same material from the 50 yard line and the end zone. As they showed, using the "on field" camera person realistically gave the Patriots NO ADVANTAGE over the opposing team. So, in reality, this whole fiasco is simply a violation of the rules and provides little or no substance for believing that any of the team's victories were anything but well earned.

I really didn't know a lot of that information before watching the game last night, so it seems kinda silly that everyone is in such an uproar.

But.....let's move on and hope for a great season!
