All I can say is that after the $500.00 deposit, I received an email and a letter from BRP congratulating me on my purchase along with the Jacket and an accession#. The dealer has maintained all along that my "place" in line is secure.BRP required a $1,000 deposit on each Spyder ordered. If you paid less than that I would question if the dealer even submitted your order. If you paid more, BRP got the first $1,000 and the dealer put the rest in his bank account !!

That makes sense. Thanks for hunting down the info.Ya got me a bit worried about this whole deposit issue and so I contacted my dealer and according to them. The $1,000.00 deposit was a "recommended" amount from BRP, not a "required" amount. They, the dealer stated that I was still in the #6th spot to receive a Spyder. If this proves inaccurate, there will be hell to pay after waiting nearly 6 months for delivery.
I was wondering about premium pricing. Mind sharing the prices you were getting?$1,000, yesterday, CA dealer
Wouldn't buy here in AZ because AZ dealers are charging too large of a premium!
premium pricing??? you mean over what BRP advertises? .i put $1000 down and was told it was refundable!I was wondering about premium pricing. Mind sharing the prices you were getting?
Dealers fee's, premium pricing, whatever you choose to call it - I shopped every dealer in AZ and almost every dealer in Southern California. I was quoted anywhere from $900 to over $3,000 above MSRP and before tax and license registration. I went with the $900, was told I'm in their October allotment, and I plan to fly into CA and ride back to southeast AZ. (Bisbee, to be specific). After all my travel expenses I estimate that I still will be over $500 ahead and I'll have a nice 2 day Autumn desert ride!I was wondering about premium pricing. Mind sharing the prices you were getting?
I'm in Tucson and also found all AZ dealers charging $1500 over MSRP plus $1500 freight and prep. I also ended up ordering from a CA dealer for list plus $500 for freight/prep. If you do not take delivery in CA (i.e. have the bike delivered to you in AZ), you will not have to pay CA tax and registration. If you pick it up there, you will... and then have to re-register and pay in AZ! To ship the Spyder to AZ should run about $4-500.I put down $1000![]()
