LA or bust: Spyders invade Hollywood

The 2009 Spyder Owner's Event is off to a roaring start in sunny California. Over 400 participants (hundreds of SpyderTalk members) are expected to descend upon Hollywood for a weekend of Spyder fun. Over 70 Spyders rolled into the Famous Bob's Big Boy restaurant in Burbank to kick-off the weekend. Bob's Big Boy is famous for their "Hot Rod" gatherings of hot cars and motorcycles. On this night, Spyders stole the show!

And speaking of stealing the show, all attention turned to the owner of Premier Edition Spyder #00001, Jay Leno, when he pulled into Bob's Big Boy in his newly acquired 1963 Chrysler Turbine. Earlier in the day, several lucky Spyder owners toured Leno's Garage and Jay returned the favor and stopped in at the 2009 Spyder Owner's event kick-off.

The usuals at the Friday night "Hot Rod" gathering looked bored as all the attention was focused on the back of the parking lot where Spyders were parked. Spyder owners rode to Southern California from Quebec, Michigan, Tennessee, Florida, Texas along with many California ryders.

BRP was also well represented at the kick-off event with Yves LeDuc, Vice-President and General Manager, North American Sales & Marketing Can-Am and and Marc Lacroix, Spyder Marketing Director in attendance.

Although Spyder owners filed in and out of the famous eatery all night, the majority spent the evening talking with fellow Spyder owners and sharing stories of their ride to the event and the customizations they've done to their Spyders.

What a great way to kick-off the 2009 Spyder Owner's Event!
