I said no I would not buy a spyder again,I bought it in may 2009,it has been at the dealer more then at home, not running good, computer reset, steering, recalls, belt broke at 10998 miles carried to dealer warranty out 5/12/2011,belt was 340.00,
labor to install 140.00,to do an inpection to see what cause the belt to break 200.00,it was going to cost me 680.00 plus tax just for a belt.I have never heard of a belt breaking before on any bike.I want be buying another one.

Love the spyder RT.

Had to take it in last evening for service today, wife goes: driveway feels empty without our spyder
Modifying the RT for some long distance touring

Yes, yes, yes! I love my Spyder! I bought mine used so I'm guessing all the kinks were out when I got it cause I haven't had any problems with it. And if I do, I would still buy another one. I reallllyyyy want an RT but finances won't allow it. :(

Sometimes we talk about the "problems", but I think the vast majority of Spyder owners are happy campers. We have a lot of potential buyers lurking on SpyderTalk...so it would be good to have a simple poll on Spyder ownership...by Spyder owners to help give perspective.

Test drove at Americade 2010 and was hooked. When the incentive flier came in the mail I bought the RT SM5. I've had some issues and all were taken care of under warranty. My dealer's service is awesome. The safety factor played a big role in purchasing my Spyder after having been sideswiped by a Lincoln on my other ride. Have Approx. 11000 miles on it and my ultimate goal is to ride to Alaska. The best purchase I have made in years.
