After receiving my roadside assistant thing the other day, which i have posted back. i have also received a parcel from BRP as a thankyou, it included 1 x black canam cap, 1 x white canam cap, a tank bag for my spyder, and a 2gb memory stick.

I was really surprised to get anything, just wondering if any one else got this parcel or something similar, i think it is all good public relations.

Am loving my spyder although at the moment i have my leg in plaster and havent been albe to ride for about 3 weeks, i think i am having withdrawals, cant wait to get back on it.

Hi Janice.
Yes I think that has gone to all in Australia but I thought my memory stick was 1GB. Good luck with the leg.

I must have missed the right mailing list.......I get info and stuff relating to my Can-Am Outlander 800. but, NOTHING concerning the Spyder.

I checked my memory stick with my glasses on and you are right Martin it is a 1gb.

It was still a nice surprise to get anything.

A tank bag is something that I've never bothered with. Until now. I put a BMW-type power outlet in the dash and run the lead into the tank bag. In the bag is a 3-outlet socket that I can run my GPS (a lead back out again), phone charger and an inverter (a can about the size of a beer can) for my camera. And of course, one of the Spyder caps to protect my chrome dome.

Got my gift bag too .... all OK except the tankbag ... the straps seems to be cut off, was a used bag .... so it's impossible to feed the straps back through the fastner .... anyone the same problem? Or anyone not using his tankbag ? Might swap for something else ....
Cheers.

You will find that the straps are very short. If they are cut at an angle they are probably standard length. You have to put your hand inside the bag and push very firmly towards the front and you will find that you can just get the staps to go through the slots and back into the clamp thingy. In my opinion they have made the straps about an inch too short. Have another try.

You'll have to become an Aussie, sorry! These were gifts from BRP Australia. Just to really rub salt into the wound, they have provided free Roadside Assist for 12 months also.

Thanks Bob ... but they are actually cut straight and you can see that they are heated up ... so someone cut them to length after putting them on ... i think it's a second hand ... anyone selling his?
