One small thing that always bothered me about the Spyder were the body screws. Mine were Black and Stainless steel, I have seen others that were Black and Chrome. I always like the chrome screws. I could find any with the right thread type, So, I had some made.

Before and After (the Picks didn't turn out that well, I will add Pics of just the Screws)

Here is the Pick of just the Screws. The new Chorme one is in the center. The outside ones are the old screws from the Bike.

Looks nice Tony. You're right, the photo's don't do them justice. I've seen a bike with them polished and it adds a nice touch of class. I'm sure the chrome looks even better.

Hey there! I am brand new o this forum, and Spyder ownership. I love the screws! It's very subtle but makes a big difference (I'm a details guy). How did you "have them made"? I would love to change my 8 black screws (front sides) out for chrome or stainless. Any suggestions? I have no idea how to go about attacking this, considering they aren't screws you can pick up just anywhere.... Thanks!

The Stainless screws are from the back fender, at least on my yellow one they were. So go to your dealer and order 8 SS back fender screws......

Easy enough to do I did!

If you want chrome screws you can look on-line the cheapest I have found run about $2.50 a screw. Or you can send me a PM I have extra that I will sell for $2.00 each. The only difference is the Torcs head size. The ones I have are "T27" the stock ones are "T30"

What is the full name - specs - of the type of screw used. I want to see what I can find, and I want to make sure I know what I'm looking for. Since you've done this before, I figured you could help. If I can't find anything then I will buy those from you. Thanks for the help and info!

To no name,

Try the Dzus fasteners. Look them up on you browser. Not cheap but very good.

I'll look to see if I can find the exact specs. If I recall they are M30's. I will need to find the exact pitch of the threads.

I took all my black screws out and just put them on a buffing wheel and no they are better than chrome-the dealer coulnt even believe how they looked--never cost a penny-just a few minutes time on the buffing wheel to get the black coating off.
