I've just sent my silver Spyder #592 back to the shop for the 2d time to ry to solve this problem. Put key in, turn key, get nothing on the display panel. I thought it was fixed but two days after getting it back from the shop, same problem.

Sometimes rolling it back and forth will produce a "limp home" message - or it starts but the engine seems to be struggling.

Typically, it starts fine, I ride, then park. Come back to it, in garage or a parking lot, and ...nothing!Can't understand why sitting overnight breaks the start sequence!

Shop is 1 1/2 hrs drive away, although they've been great in coming to pick up Spyder, deliver it back. (Thanks for extended warranties!)

Anyone have this probelem? Any clues, ideas? HELP!

i had the same problem, pull up fault codes and show 0600 and 1514, no power to ecu, check and found defective main relay #2, you can change this out with the fan or light relay to test, :beerchug1:

Many thanks for the prompt response - I forwarded this info to the Tucson shop and will probably hear something on Tuesday.

I would guess that it was the tech at the shop that resolved the issue, right Jim ?

i don't think so. not everone has to take the can am to the shop. thats why they sell service manuals. all information i find is passed onto rob at d&h cycle to share with the factory and to help customers like you:beerchug1:

Last week had problems with Spyder. Turn key on and inst cluster blank for about 10 seconds then comes on and check engine lite on. managed to fool with a while and got it started. Got home pulled cluster to check connector and terminals ok. Put some dialectric grease on conn and worked fine for about a week. Stopped to eat today and would not start. same problem. Talked to my Dealer and gave them the codes it had. P0600 and p1514. He said he would call it in to BRP. headed home stopped to get gas and you know wouldn't start. Same thing. Fooled with about 10 min and got it started. Got home pulled cluster to do some checking. checked wiring diagrams and checked relays. I could hear and feel the #2 relay clicking so switched headlite relay and #2 relay and started right up and guess what no headlites. The #2 relay is bad just the headlite relay was a while back. I have switched all the relays except the big main #1 rerlay. I think we should carry a spare relay in the trunk.
