Hi all, I'll get right to the meat of this. What about rear fender removal? I've been told you would end up wearing the road,,,true? :TgC_emoticon142:

Those that have removed the rear fender report no problems for themselves or their passengers. I have not removed mine, so this is second hand info.

I removed my back fender, no water at all on my back, but my wife gets soaked. I shortened the bottom up a little and put it back on

Talking about the rear fender gets close to what I'd like to do-----Since water, dirt, mud and other things may well get thrown forward beyond the fender, I'm wondering if anyone has designed a mud guard installed just behind the rear wheel, attached on the above plastic--between the wheel and the rear shock. This could keep all that debris from flyimg forward under the machine. Has anyone done this?----What do you techs and mechanics think?-----Ev

I guess this is done, the back fender "fell" off. I'll post with weather related issues.

I made a rear fender extention out of rolled #18 stainless steel to keep the undersides of my Spy clean. Required making two forward supports but no problem because I have machining facilities at home. The extention "rolls" forward and down to the axle height.
