anyone put a stright pipe on yet? if not what you think it would sound like. also another thing i was thinking about was i was looking at this spyder as it sat in my garage and i have a supercharged car. so iwas looking at the routeing of the exhaust and intake and what not it would be so easy to put a turbo on these things. but wouldnt you have to tune it after?

I think the numbers that are showing may make it less likely to push BRP for a remedy.

Well if BRP responds like they did for the Outlander 800 front suspension problem don't count on a fix any time soon. When every Magazine and every PC forum complained about it NOTHING was ever done. Oh they said they were aware of the problem but thats as far as it went, since the first 2006 model appeared in the early fall of 2005. :wall: :(

Looks like I'm the only one swimming upstream. Just put my stock exhaust back on this morning and I like it better for my riding style / needs. It is definately much quieter than the Hindle.

Cool, Brian. So I take it your Hindle will be going on eBay?

Now I dont get somthing here. I bought my spydie for FUN, this now includes the hindle as I couldnt stand riding a sewing machine !!!
Only one choice for me. But Im not holding my breath waiting for the burn issue to be resolved by our manufacturer. I ask myself somtimes "do they care now the spyders are selling and most of us love em "? You bet they dont !!!

I love it anyway.

Curious how many are keeping the stocker

The Venom Exhaust by Motad i purchased from Annitore Dist for 425 with 90 degree pipe included. WOW what a nice sounding pipe i love it i get compliments on it all the time on the sound, the mechanic that worked on my spyder last week told me it was the nicest sounding exhaust hes heard to date on a spyder Here's a pic of it i got one in stainless and one pic in carbon fiber :) now i need to make a sound bite of its cause mine sounds like a V8 somtimes too its sounds so much better when i let somone else ride it and i can hear em from a distance wow it sounds very nice :)

I'm planning on putting a Hindle on at my 600 mile checkup next spring. I would like a little more sound too. The stock exhaust is just to quiet - even for an old man like me!

Changed exhaust to MBRP Murdered Out Series very loud without custom insert.

Custom insert: 1 1/2in exhaust pipe 8in long and/or tub plate.

Allows me to change the sound with five screws.

Daily riding no insert, short ride with passenger tub plate or long rides exhaust pipe insert with tub plate.

90% of the time no insert or tub plate.

I did a Ractive 605, polished stainless steel, 2 3/8 inlet tuner muffler welded to a magnaflow, madnrel bent, stainless steel elbow. It's a little bit loud but everyone says it sounds awesome. It is very deep and throaty like a Harley but not nearly as obnoxious as straight pipes. I'ts so throaty, from a distance you can't tell it's a bike. Sounds like a V8. Total cost not including time was literally only $83

Fenders still need painted and I think I'm going to repaint the whole bike a new color with some sort of graphics to tie the fenders into the style of the spyder.

It sure would be nice to see a short video with the bike running at idle and driving by so we can hear the muffler. This could be exactly what I've been looking for.
Where did you buy the muffler and pipe?

The pipe came from summit for 419.95. They don't currently have this model but they have others in stock at H&S service http://hsservice.chainreactionweb.com/Perf...28dcc4d8d08c162
There are many other suppliers as well. I made the hanger from stainless steel plate. I'll eventually do a video but the weather is not cooperating right now.

Thanks but do you want to confirm the price $419.95 or should it be $49.95 like on the site you provided?

Sorry, must not have hit the shift key for the $ sign. It should be $19.95. Magnaflow MPE-10706. This is the link.
