I will probably keep the stock exhaust on there.
Now if one or more of these after market products produces significantly better gas mileage I might go for it.
But I sure don't need the noise.

I don't like "noise", but I appreciate a nice exhaust note

I probably shouldn't comment yet because the only after market exhaust I have listened to have been on You Tube.

Hear, hear Marc. I find the stock Spyder sound very anemic. Any of the aftermarket pipes are a vast improvement. I have a line on a local Two Brothers Racing dealer who will give me a killer price on a TBR system, so that is the way I plan to go when I take possession of my Spyder in spring 2009.

Bruce,
Are you telling me all this time you do not even own one yet?
I assumed you were the first round buyer

Nope. Put my deposit down, but I didn't want a first year Spydie. I never buy a first year vehicle; I prefer to wait until the teething problems have been sorted out (you know, squealing brakes, a few computer glitches, etc., etc.).
Check the narrative under my avatar.

Could be for whatever reason. I am going to go back to the stocker as soon as I get a replacement gasket for the pipe. I am keeping in tabs on Magic Man and the new pipes that he is testing / selling. He says he has one he is looking at that is quieter than the Hindle but still gives the benefits of the free airflow / cooler running over the stock pipe. After riding with the Hindle for three months, I think I want to be able to have a quieter ride.

I have stock (not for long though) and I can't hear my exhaust/engine. The wind noise is all I hear, except at full throttle. I doubt I will hear the Hindle as well.
EDIT: I almost never ride at town speed though then it would be different I guess.
