For reference, I'm 6' tall with a 30 inch inseam...in between a Large and XL. I went for the Large. Live and Learn. I just wanted to pass that along to help others still making this decision.

If I read this right you will still have the original L windhsield correct? If so would you be willing to part with it?

I'm 5' 10" and currently use the BRP Tour shield. With fall here, it is not enough protection. I like the Calsci design, but I don't think I can go any bigger than the M because I personally don't like the look of the larger shields on the SPyder. Most posts are for those with the L and XL. Anyone with a M who can weigh in on how it performs

I have a CalSci Medium and I really like it. The wind noise is greatly reduced even with a half helmet and wind deflection for the rider is much better than either the stock or the touring BRP shields. I probably would have gotten the large if just for me but the Spyder is "Ours" and since my wife is shorter than me we went with the Medium. For the passenger there is still to much wind turbulence but I don't know if that can be solved. Overall I am very happy with the CalSci and would buy it again. Mark is great to work with and will help you get the right size.

Thanks. I have read some reviews about two issues with Calsci; rough/sharp edges and clutch contact with shield on full turn. One poster said he could not adjust the clutch lever enough to not hit the shield and without gloves, risked cuts due to sharp edges.

As far as the edge finish I've seen better and I've seen worse. It's about the same as what my Harley windshield is and not nearly as good as my Triumph. If if bugs you clean it up with a little #600 sand paper. The clutch lever will contact the windshield at the right turn limit. I've only had this happen when locking the steering so I just turn the handlebars to the left instead. You could maybe pinch your fingers between the windshield and the clutch lever while parking the bike if your weren't paying attention but I doubt that this would happen in driving conditions.

For what you pay for the windshield you shouldn't have to do anything to it. As far as it hitting, whether you are driving or not it shouldn't hit and I have got myself a few times. Compare that to almost all motorcycle windshields I have seen with almost a polished edge.
Issue resolved by Mark.

When I sent pictures back describing my dissapointment with the rough cuts I was told that is the way they are. Compare that to almost all motorcycle windshields I have seen with almost a polished edge. This windshield is going, very dissapointed.
It is indeed too bad that the edge isn't polished, and I'm not a great fan of correcting what should have been done right in the first place. It is more pricey, but my Corbin fairing/windshield shields me very well from rain, stones, pebbles and bugs. I don't ride with a passenger, but I believe that this Corbin is a nice setup. I get no turbulence behind, like I did with the one my dealer first suggested. It looked just like the Calsi, with that edge curled slightly forward. I think they did it that way to add strength, because mine, although it was quite think did crack at the top 2 attachment screws. (I had the tall one). As far as my hand hitting the fairing, I can still lock my steering. I'd touch it with gloves, I'm sure, but I go that far only in a parking lot. (If you don't have the clearance needed while driving, you just drove yourself in a mess no windshield is going to fix)
I'm monkeing with the handle bar because I'd like to have it closer to me. My husband is suffering with the curled windshield still. (Corbin still hasn't shipped) He changed to ATV handlebars and cut the console. His bars are now higher and closer. I hope this won't be a problem when his Corbin fairing/windshield come
