I had the bike up on stands last night....putzing around....and your mounting idea provides an endless array of pegs, floorboards, and extension possibilities. Good find!!!

Thanks
If anyone is interested in these I had enough material cut for for a dozen and have sold a couple to locals who are happy with them. The cost is $129 + shipping. PM me if interested.

Bryan, could you post a pic with somone sitting on the bike, I would like to see their leg position on the pegs? How sturdy are these, I hear the other out flex quite a bit? Did you have to chage the mount bolt our could you still use the factory bolts?

After riding with these for four days on our UP cruise, I have decided they need to be moved a bit. I have to play with the position to find what is best. That is the nice thing about having the bend in the bracket, I can turn them around and turn them over as needed. Maybe even drill another hole for another setting. Everyone's lets are different so I don't think there is going to be a one size fits all. I like how Nexus has the extension for the peg itself just a bit higher and closer. What I am running into though, is I like two different places, one about where Nexus has his and the other is actually further forward just up higher. When I get it just right I will post photos with me on the pegs.

Where did you purchase the mounts that attach up underneath the Spyder? Also, are there any gotcha's I need to be aware of when attaching the mounts? Lastly, what type of peg clamp did you end up ordering; 1-1/2" quick clamp, 1-1/4" clamp or 1" clamp? Thanks in advance for you feedback - GO2LKG

I updated the post with additional pictures showing the riding position. I have a 34" inseam for reference. I had a guy use the highway pegs to get on the Spyder before I had a chance to say anything and he was over 250 lbs. and it didn't phase them. I designed them so I could stand on them and I weigh 180 lbs. The stock bolts are used in the installation, you just remove the nuts and push the bolts in so the mounts clear and work the bolts back through the holes. There is plenty of thread left. You have to make sure the head of the bolt is captured in the by the engine case like it was intended. It's a little tricky but not hard to do and takes about 15 minutes.

I have ordered the highway peg mounting brackets, but was wondering if someone could post a picture of their leg positon out in front? I am pretty tall, but it seems like my legs/ankles are going to hit the fairing. Also, for those of you with the highway pegs, did you change your seat to allow for a lower 'in the saddle' kind of feel? Thanks for any and all ideas & photos - GO2LKG

Here is what I finally did with my highway floorboards. My husband had highway pegs just mounted directly to the billet bike part brackets first. He is 6'4" and that worked for him. He found he really didn't use them as much as he thought though (he puts his legs up on the sides instead) so he gave me the brackets. As my inseam is only 30" compared to his 36" inseam I needed to bring my footboards up and forward. You can see by the photos that we added a piece to the original bracket. You should be comfortable with the original bracket position if you have long legs. But these photos might at least give you an idea.

There are 4 inches from the hole that matches up to the billet bike part bracket to the hole that holds the floorboard. I got rid of the clevis and mounted the board directly to the bracket as in the pic below. It is amazing how much more comfortable this is. One other thing about not having the clevis in there and being so much closer to the bike and the original bracket that I noticed. There isn't nearly as much flex. The floorboards feel much more stable being right up close to the bike.

Here are a few more shots at different angles. I will know more after my two hour ride north on Friday and I give this a true test. I will keep you posted. Also, after my NoMagicNeon risers get here, I am sure it will be even better.

Also, I finished my weekend ride 2 hours north and back and I only had some slight tweaking to do to make these just right. I absolutely love having these boards where they are. It actually gives me two additional positions to shift to while riding. I can sit closer to the tank and have my feet flat on the boards or I can sit back on the seat and reach out and have my heal resting on the board for a full leg stretch.
The tweaking that I did for myself that is slightly different than the photos is this. I brought my extension bracket slightly more upright and I flattened out the boards so they were at less of an angle.

Hey Bryan
Got the peg mounts and had them on in less than 1/2 hour. Have not had a chance to take a long ride with them yet but they seem to be GREAT
For anyone out there looking for an alternative peg mount location the brackets made by Bryan are great. He does a great job with fabrication, provides instructions, and the mounts are solid. Can not wait to give them a real run.
Thanks again Bryan,
