Do your Spyder brakes squeel? If you own Spyder and this is an issue please vote.

Mine only did it here and there at first.... now it won't go away.
My current car I drive the answer would be... NO as they have never squeaked.
A previous car... yes... the Spyder... yes.

A fix will come! You will be happy you didn't buy it on monthly payments!
Besides the "squeal of burning cats" shouldn't kill ALL the fun with this machine! If you think about it

Dear Mr. Johnson,
Thank you for becoming a member of the Can-Am Spyder community.
We are presently testing alternative brake pads and components and are working closely with the supplier to find a solution. We will communicate updates on this issue as soon as possible. It appears that you have already communicated the brake noise to your dealer who should be in contact once new brake pads are available.
Best Regards,
Spyder Team

Hopefully I'll get that call from the dealership soon.

You'll find out from someone out here WAY before your dealer even has a clue about any real fix for the brake pads.....

That's because we are the ones who ride them ......they could care less, they already sold you one! They are in the sales business. It makes sense that the riders will fix things before they get around to it, if it is not a safety issue it will probably take 25 percent of us to complain before they even look into it. Why would they unless sales are hurting and since they are having a hard time keeping up with filling orders as it is......well the fact that they don't know where they can get red paint from tells us something, I mean there are only about 40 or so auto manufacturers using a red paint that works, yet none is available for the Spyder for some strange reason. The red paint issue is just one example of a problem that a local painter can solve in under an hour that is taking BRP MONTHS to work out.

I dont know anything personally about a paint issue. I do want to ask if we know its a "paint" issue. Are we sure that they arent trying to mold the pannels from red material, like maybe honda does?

BRP Color Name - Roadster Red
BRP Color Code - B-293
BASF Paint Code - 804705
So still waiting on scottmanesis to provide the info, links, etc... on red being the reason BRP pushed back the release of the reds a month. If someone can drop a turd like that then not provide back up to it then the reason BRP delayed the reds a month are to fix brake issues, add a hand brake, add a six gear (and keep the R) bigger radiator, bigger fans, better stock pipe, add the best windshield ever, add a VSS control knob, better shocks, choice of car tires and whatever the red buyers want changed or fixed to their liking! All this info which I can not provide information on or links to! Sorry about stealing this theard about the brake issue.
