Hi everyone, my name is Bob Labbett, and I dont have a Spyder(yet). I live in Sydney but am in the process of selling my house and moving to Tassie in a couple of months time. My present ride is a 1200Triumph Trophy, and a 93 Trident. I went to the Ulysses AGM at Townsville, and had a test ride of the Spyder, and had a ball. I loved it. So much so that I have decided to buy one. I love my Trophy, but I'm not in the first flush of youth(67) and I am finding the Trophy very difficult at low speed maneuvering when fully loaded plus my wife on the back. The Spyder solves that problem, plus I love the look of it. I nave been in touch with the dealer in Tassie and will see him in a couple of weeks. I have been an avid reader of the forum for the last few weeks, and am devouring all things Spyder related. I am very much a reader rather than a writer so you may not hear much from me, but be assured I will be here.

Welcome Bob. You may want to keep an eye on www.SpyderRyders.net.au as well. I started the site to try and connect Australian Spyder riders. I am always looking for input so any comments, stories etc welcome. Not sure how the Spyder is registered in Tassy but Dicko's trials with his in Victoria (where it is registered as a car but you need a bike license to ride it) may be of interest - see our NEWS page

Hi Bob - It's Rob in Brisbane here.
I , lilke you , am awaiting a Spyder to ride ( Have an SE5 on order )
As you have found there are several forums to read to ascertain facts and figures
about the Spyder..
I have found a lot of interesting info reading other posts re engine performance/suspension/tyres etc
and am sure if you find any problems or have any queries there will be someone out there
on the spyder web to answer you questions..
Good luck in Tassie - Hope to read some future posts about riding your Tassie Devil (Spyder)
Cheers
