The instructions to install it are a little goofy but it is easy enough to figure out.

The bar end weight of the TM units also helps with any vibration. The TM install takes 20 minutes.
The actual cruise control units that some have added are pretty complex to install... plan on 6 hours if you're really good. I also know that one person had their cruise control air chamber melt from the heat inside of the Spyder.
The TM units run around $150.... the Audiovox cruise control can be had for $100.... but remember the install difference.
I personally had the Audiovox unit and then decided to sell it and get a TM instead. I didn't want that much down time... and was also concerned about any warranty problems with the install of the cruise unit....
Some will say the TM unit doesn't vary the throttle when you go up or down a hill... which is true.... but that is why you have your hand nearby anyway. While the actual cruise control will vary the throttle on hills.... it can't change gears for you.....

I recieved mine with no instructions at all. I had to put mine on based on the picture alone. I installed it 4 different times. You must trim the black plastic inner ring about a 1/2" or so to fit the inner piece of the throttel control ( I do mean cutting it). Next, the thumb release part or outboard part is installed over the existing grip, not under it on the throttle itself. The control comes with a second rubber piece which goes to the inboard ring of the thumb device, against the bikes existing controler for you start, hazard ect. You will need to play a bit with the tightness and the small hex nuts on the adjustment. Be sure to reallign the existing controls ( which will have to be loosened to install) as there is a cut out in the handlebar for proper allignment. It is a small slot on the handle bar that you might overlook if your not paying attention. I did several times before noticing it. I installed mine last night, rode for 4 hours today and it all come together. The cable retraction is finally working back to normal and "snapping back" when the throttle is released, but not without a few adjustments.
I have installed many of the vista style controlers before and this one was a bit more labor intensive. But learn from my work and hopefully you won't have to recreate the wheel.
Good Luck!!!

Will the Throttlemeister work with stock grips? If not, which one/s are recommended please?
