Hi Everyone:
Saw some pics with the spyders windshield painted and decided I liked it enough to do it as well. I had a body shop do it for me, however at a cost of $95 I should have done it myself. The plastic adehive spray and then the paint would have run me about $25. I guess the cost is justified and I do like the result.
Anyway, thought I'd post a pic to show you what my choice was.

will take some tommorrow... the paint was put on the inside..thats why you get to see the black fade into the silver on the outside. The paint on the outside may chip off. I like the way the original black fades in.

OK here's some picks of the windshield a little closer.

I like the look. :beerchug1:
Did the same thing to my stock shield... except I used auto bumper primer gray. Gives the same "fade" and is flexible so hopefully will not be as prone to cracking. I added a flat black bumper coating to the underside, too, so the shield is black on bottom. Total cost... $12.

Yes. Yes. Yes. I like it.

My stock screen went all foggy / streaky. Trying to clean it went even worse even though I used same cleaner as I use on my other bikes. Removed screen to have a better go and clean behind it. Then managed to tighten the bolts too tight and crack the screen. Have fixed the cracks that but now need to hide my mistake. Was wondering about painting. Appears to be the answer
