Hi everyone:
Just got my riser block today... will be putting it on tommorrow. Will let you know how the assembly goes and what I think about it shortly. Today was a great day for riding. Sure enjoying my Spyder.

When you do this remember. Several people broke off the center stud tightening it to the lb/ft in the shop manual. It was later found there was an error in the manual. If I remember correctly the proper tourque is 19-24 ft.lbs. I think the shop maual gives a value of something over thirty ft.lbs. Hope your install goes well

Instructions must have been updated..mine said 18-24. The step by step pics earlier posted all cowling gauges etc. removed. Not needed in the instructions that come with the block, however, you will need a "thin" 1/4" drive wrench to access 2 of the bolts. Installation is much easier then taking apart (more room below handlebars). ***HINT*** stuff some rags in openings below handle bars -- I dropped a small bolt and socket and had a h___ time getting them.Had to remove sde panels to find them.
Took me 2 hrs, but think I would only need 1 if I did it again.

Went for small ride after install... noticed difference right away... really like the change.

Any chance you can scan and upload the instructions so I can show them to my mechanic? I'm getting the riser added when I get my bike the end of May and I will email him a copy of the new instructions in case he doesn't get them. The dealer is 300 miles away and I won't be there when they do the PDI.

Thanks.

Speaking of the shop manual. For those of us that own a copy, how can we get the latest additions and corrections to it?
