How is it with the GPS on this panel. It seems that this panel is a bit flimsy.

It's the flash, panel of GPS is not better or worser then any other GPS (like Zumo).

It's even better now since I sprayed the windshield...

Don't quite understand what you are saying here ... "It's the flash, panel of Gps ...."??

If it has proven stable for you, your install is exactly what I want to do. The top dash panel just pops out and I'm concerned with the stability?

ALSO ... I see where you ran the power wire but I cannot see it in the pictures where you are showing the completed install. Can you show a picture of how/where the power cord hooks into the GPS?

With flash I mean the flash of the camera so the GPS panel looks brighter then it is.
Believe me it's rock solid concerning stability.
The 4 hooks of the plastic are realy firm
The cable is plugged right under the GPS,
you can see the whole install here;
