Parker Yamaha is not the best online merchant. He takes the total virtual inventory approach. He offers to sell everything at a great discount, takes customers out of other dealer's areas, then after getting an order, he will order the part and ship it when it to you comes in. He has no carry cost and no storage/warehousing expense. If you aren't in a hurry and don't care about service and if you don't care if you have a big hassle in the event of a return, these are your guys. I'd stear clear, there are plenty of other dealers that sell online that you can get a decent deal and decent service. Remember the old saying, "If it sounds too good to be true it probably is."

Just my viewpoint, the way to get the best prices on Spyder accessories is from your dealer. He is able to give as much as a 20% discount if you have a good relationship with him. This way you have the full warranty coverage and if there are any shipping damage, defects, missing parts, you are not going to be paying for additional shipping costs.

i agree. the way i figure, i am in the store asking dumb questions all the time. they show me helmets and accessories, offer suggestions, and work around my schedule. when i need something, they always pull thru. im lucky that i have a Skidoo and a Can-Am Outlander that i purchased there also. so i already am comfortable that the level of service is high enough that a modest discount is more than enough for me. i guess im old enough now that i find VALUE in more than dollars...

I completely agree. The internet is a wonderful place to buy somethings, but supporting your local dealer will pay you huge benefits in the end. You may pay slightly more on some hard goods, but the help and service you receive should more than make up for the little extra you pay. If you become a great customer you will begin to fall into the emotional pricing category. Which means your dealer will give you a good price without even asking.
I also regularly patronize the dealer's service department. Yes, I can change my own oil and do routine matinenance, but I don't. I pay the dealer to do it for me. Why not save some money you ask. It's simple when something I can't fix happens, I want to be able to take my unit it and get it fixed FAST. In addition, I had dealers go out of their way to get the OEM to cover something out of warranty because they know I maintained my machine. This has happened several times and saved me way more money than I spent on maintenance. This strategy has always worked well for me, but like people every dealership is different. Bottom line, give your local dealer a chance and his service and prices might surprise you.

If you check Parker's website now they raised all they're prices.By the time you pay the shipping you might as well get it from your local dealer.

You know, I'm all ways looking for a deal. I really dont have a dealer, got my spyder on ebay. I feel alot of dealers just screw people. Here's an example from the closest dealer to me. He had a demo spyder on ebay for 12,450. I went to his showroom not letting him know I saw it on ebay, offered him 12,200, I think ebays commision is 3% so he would come out ahead with my offer. He came back and said he needed 13,800. I walked out.
