I now have both the tank bag and the passenger seat bag. I like the passenger seat bag because it fits on the seat, in the trunk and has a shoulder strap for carrying around as well as a top handle. It fits nicely on the back seat and attaches to the handles. All you have to do for fuel is quick release the front straps only, you don't have to take the whole bag off. The zippers are rubber lines for water tightness but they are only water resistant bags, I wouldn't want them in a downpour. The tank bag a clear plastic for a map or whatever on top. it also has mesh pockets inside. The passenger back has a laptop storage area as well as pockets on the in sides. For traveling to work and back these are just what I need. For weekend trips I can pack both bags and the trunk and be ready to go. So here are some photos, excuse the messy garage please.

I also bought the outside cover. It fits very nicely and easily. I can fold it up and put it in the trunk and still put the passenger seat back in there.

The tank bag is easy on and off. Getting the bracket installed for the straps was a little more work than I planned. It wasn't hard, it didn't take too long, it was just a pain. You have to take off the top panel basically and install a separate bracket just so it is there to attach your straps. Once it is in place you'd never notice it and now it is easy.

Nice pics :)
I have them too, they are just cool and good material, to bad they didn't make it more water resistant :wall:
it's always something and I hate that  Here in Europe we have more rain days as sun days...
I didn't test it yet, but isn't there a possibility to make the straps go under the seat so you don't have to losen them to refuel? Maybe with other longer straps?

The big bag fits also with the trunk liner installed.

By the way, CLEAN YOUR GARAGE :P hehe

Yes, some extension straps could very easily be added to attach under the seat I think. But after just releasing the front only, the bag stays in place on the seat and it lifts up and it is not that big of a deal to snap two straps back up on the handles. Unless I am going traveling, I plan on putting the bag in the trunk with all my stuff in it and then just carrying it in to work on my shoulder. It has a nice carrying shoulder strap with it.

Yep, thank you very much. Check your paypal account. I didn't lose the little black screws but I did drop both gold ones as I was putting the bracket on. That took the longest, finding those buggers. I had to take the sid panels off one side to find it. Oh well, live and learn.

Just to clarify, I don't think any laptop will fit into the tank bag. The passenger seat bag is the one with the laptop pouch.

Update on the review. Last weekend I had to ride in the rain. My trunk was full, my saddlebags were full and I had the Can-Am tank bag and Can-Am passenger bag attached to my Spyder. It was basically pouring and it was a 45 minute ride. I was somewhat concerned because my laptop was in the passenger seat bag. They performed admirably. The outside of the bags were wet but no moisture or rain got on the inside of either bag. I was very happy and impressed. Just thought folks would like to know, in case they are considering these bags. I don't think I would want to test them in an all day rain though.

the tank bag is not an "easy disconnect" bag like a magnetic bag would be. It has a counter lever system that has to be installed (the bracket the 2 front straps have to be "looped through and then compression clipped to hold in place), as well as "popping" the seat every time you want to take it off.

Installation was moderate-easy. Takes a little while if you take your time@ 1 hour start to finish.

The good points: the bag is very versatile, it has many different storage areas inside of it, as well as a nice cushey contact area that sits on the spyders "tank" the map pocket is VERY useful. I have enough room for my blackberry, charger, Ipod, Charger, GPS, gloves sunglasses, wallet, medicine, and well, I suppose you have the idea. Anything you would keep in your pockets you will be able to keep in this.

It matches the body lines of the spyder beautifully, Was it worth 100.00? eh... There were not any other aftermarket options available.

I don't know if this is relevant, but my dealer had to replace the entire top body panel. (under the tank bag) The panel was showing a dark "shadow" under the bag that was not a surface condition. It would not come off with rubbing compound. This condition was apparent at the 600 mile mark and had become nasty by the 2,000 mile point when the panel was replaced. We are watching to see if the condition reappears with the new panel.

I'm considering a clear plastic overlay to avoid the abrasion that also appeared on the ridges of the body panel.

I am noticing a little wear under the area of the tank bag. Even though the bottom is very soft, it is also very thin and I think anything in your bag puts pressure on that area. I am trying to think of something to put under the bag to protect my paint job. Maybe something foam or gel. I am not sure yet. Don't know where to get cling type clear to put there, but I will see what I can come up with.

We rode with our passenger seat bags and tank bags in the pouring down rain on our way home from the Homecoming. Everything inside was dry. I am very impressed with these bags. Just thought I would pass this info along.

I too have the passenger seat bag, and I drove from Lake George to Valcourt in the rain. I did notice some seepage. Also my friend who has the tank bag said that everything in it got wet. So I am going to buy some tent waterproofing spray and give it a shot.

For those who have the tank bag, 3M makes a clear film that can be applied on the top of the fau tank to protect the paint. I have it on the front of my 04 civic and it works and looks great!

Just sayin

Okay here we go again with me having to be the negative one.

I have the passenger seat bag. Love the design. Love the way it holds my computer. It is not waterproof but my body tends to shield it from too much water so things stay pretty dry.
.
The first day out on a 6500 mile trip one of the hold down straps came off. I used the shoulder strap to attach it at this point and have ridden 10000 miles using this technique. The seams also started to split. I also have ridden 10000 miles with a split seam. Why does this have to happen to me? I am bascially a good person. (This is made in China not that that is any excuse for sloppy work. I don not think Chinese good are inferior. Just the ones I get)

Now for the coup. My dealer gave me a new bag which I still have in the wrapper. Are you listening Corbin? He made good on his product. It's called customer service. Try it some time.

So I am a happy camper and still love my bag. Between it and the trunk I am good for 3-4 days on the road.

6 month's and the seams on the second seat bag are split and the material is fraying and looks bad. I went to the dealer he made a call and replaced it on the spot as they are good for a year guarantee. Belly tank bage is only good for small things like not a laptop for sure. The directions don't allow for the rubber seal that is not shown in them and I had to use a scaple to cut the necessary clearence to fit it. It unlike the second seat bag seems to be much more waterproof than it should be. I have been caught in several downpours and things were dry the next day. Another trick is to spray them with stainmaster or something similar to fabric sizing as they get older and tend to lose the original protection they have had when new. The dealer looked at the new replacement he gave me and said no wonder they are made in China and the durability is reflected in their fine wear potential. We were both still laughing when we went our seperate ways. I would say something like you get what you pay for but they were quite expensive I thought for what they are made like and wear. Bill PS addition the replacement second seat bag is well frayed already and the replacement bag is not big enough for my older laptop and this one also leaks I have found things wet and mildewing after a rain ride. Time for some water proofing spray I guess.
