Okay - this is my first mod - and yes - it's a very CHEESY one!

I took my keychain remote door opener and mounted on my Spyder.

1. Took my 3 button Genie remote apart.

2. Removed 2 small buttons.

3. Poured hot glue in to fill 2 small buttons so they can't be pushed by mistake(if pressed the large button won't work)

4. Cut a piece of black rubber from an old piece of printing equipment.

5. Hot glued it onto the large button.

6. Attached Velcro in various places (wish I had black)

7. Installed into left console vent holes from beneath.

Doesn't look too bad - barely noticeable - works great.

The button is in the first open hole in the bottom. In the hole above it you can barely see part of the remotes glare from the flash - otherwise you can't really see it.

I'll re-mount it better when I take the console off to install my riser plate.

Just a simple little thing to make life a little easier!

When I tear it all apart to put my riser on I will make sure it is sealed with some silicone.

For such a simple thing - it really has been handy!

I have both my home door and my work door programmed to work from the same remote - so I'm all set.
