It looks like those forward pegs are 'bowed' forward a bit on the outside.

nope just a illusion probably because tires are turned . they point out exactly straight......
ordered brackets then found pegs at the hd dealer

Cool. Was it a big deal cutting the notches in the 'pans'?
I've got mine coming in later this weel.
Did you drill and do the 3rd hole on the one side?

no prob notching as lamonster states in his instructions... 3rd hole was drilled ..was having my 625mi inspection and oil change done so had dealer put on brackets being he was going to have all the panels off any ways so half the labor was done during oil change anyways. charged me 1 hr labor so what the heck.
 i did hard part finding and installing the pegs to brackets
