In the Can-am spyder brochure it says the Spyder has "Dynamic Power Steering"...My question is; Is this electric assist, hydraulic assist, some other type of power steering or just an imagery thing ?? :TgC_emoticon142:

We ordered a silver spyder back in Nov. 07 at Fredericksburg Motor Sports in VA and have heard nothing back from the dealer yet..When we placed the order they said to expect delivery between the end of March to the end of May 08....We live in central PA...

Happy Day, larryd

The DPS Dynamic Power Steering (or Electronic Power Steering) provides a computer controlled, variable power assist, aided by an electric motor to
optimize the amount of steering input required by the rider. So the DPS optimizes the amount of steering effort that is needed to initiate a turn.

While I only rode the demo (get mine tomorrow!) - I remember that in the parking lot it seemed hard to turn - and I wondered where this power-assisted steering was.

Shouldn't it be more noticable at slow speeds - like in a parking lot?

Mine seems great at slow speeds.

Could be the final product differs from the demo's.

Most demo's are prototypes...

It'll be hard to turn if the engine is not running, because of DPS works only with running engine! I believe you know it) Mine seems great at parking lot()

The final products differ in many points from the demo's!

Correct - the steering seems much better than on the demo units - I don't know why - buy my demo unit was hard to turn in the parking lot.

My #1977 turns real easy....
