Yes you are correct about removing the white piece from the rear fuse box. I decided not to remove the trunk because Ken at Evoluzione agreed to send me a longer upper cable (at no charge) which should solve my problem. By the way I noticed what I thought was a ground post on the frame in the general area where the relay should be installed. I'll give a final report when the new longer cable is installed.

The 24 inch upper cable solved the problem thanks to Ken at Evoluzione. I salvaged the outer cable cover from the original 18 inch upper cable and used it to cover the cable that leads to the boot that goes across a rather sharp frame member. Everything works fine now. The extra length on the upper cable also made it easier for me to crimp on the connector. Now I won't worry about what those wires are doing when I do the spurt to 60 in 4.5 seconds.

Here is a picture that i lifted from Evoluzione Cyclesports webpage. The power bus is the black item at top center. There are 6 quarter inch spade terminals emanating from the black plastic part. The cost for the kit is $75. It installs just forward of the instrument panel which is easily removed.Attached Image: post-1336-1205770128.jpg

Installed mine a few weeks ago. A friend and I fabed a bracket that allows the bus to be mounted next to the front fuse panel. Easy access by just opening the trunk and taking off the black cover.

Excellent idea ... wish I had thought of that!! Of course, I have mine loaded to the max right now so I can't add anything anyhow. However, it would be nice to be able to get to it easily in case of a problem.

How about a picture?
