87

Mostly city riding, 28mpg avg. Mostly highway riding (no mountains) 35mpg on a tank. Usual is 31mpg on a tank.

Normally don't go above an indicated 65mph. An indicated 59mph is a real sweet spot for my engine, so whenever I can, that's where I keep it.

Kept a record of my gas use on my trip to SITS. This is what I came up with.

Total miles round trip 2698
Gallons bought 71.7
Cost of gas (93 oct) $220.46
Cost per mile $.0817
Miles per gallon 37.6

Not too shabby.

7.5liters/100km riding in enjoyable country roads and cool weather. Worth the gas for sure!!

Using 89 octane my most recent fuelings, I have gotten between 29.5 and 31.9. I use it to commute, run errands, and some minimal touring as of yet. We also have a great many hills so I am sure that is a factor.
The only conclusion I have made in our first two months is that 89 octane is better for mpg than the 87 was.
