The Story:
Got the call Wednesday and said that it had arrived. Scheduled flight to leave Friday 9, 2007, at 9:10PM from Atlanta, Georgia (Hartsfield) airport to Pensacola, Fl, airport at 915PM. Pensacola 1 hour behind Atlanta.

Flight leaves on time and lands on time. Called Jimmy Smith, the Spyder Man at Pensacola Motorsports, and he is waiting outside to pick me up and take me to get a hotel. Check in, sleep, wake up, shower, eat b-fast, and off to dealership. Arrive at 8:30am, take a look at the Spyder #124, install Garmin Zumo 550 GPS, pay, sign paperwork, get paper work and title, and then a ride around the parking lot, and off I go for a 421 mile trip that takes almost 7 hours.

Now this was the first time I ever saw a Spyder in peron, needless to say the first time I ever operated one. Guess what? It was a blast! No problems! Just a few dozen people taking pics from their automobiles as they drive near me, and lots of questions at the gas stations along the way.

This was a very different ride than my Hayabusa. The first 150 miles +/- it tracked the road funny, but once the tires broke in it handled great. Everything worked, shifted flawlessly, great throttle response, and made short dashes in the RPM ranges. THe trip was fun, entertaining, and well worth the wait. None of me accessaries arrived, but will be shipped to me when they come in. I do believe that my new toy is worth it!
