Wife recently purchased a 2009 Spyder. On even pavement going in a straight line and city speeds or lower, it wiggles. I.e snakes, moves side to side about 6 inches. Is this normal? It is unnerving to her. We have played with tire pressure. Somewhat over inflating seems to improve it a little. At highway speeds it seems to be okay. It has less than 5000 miles on it. The manual states an acceptable gap between the belt and the sprocket to insure alignment of the rear wheel. It is at that measurement.

Have your dealer perform a laser alignment on the front wheels, the difference is amazing. There are independents across the country that also do laser alignments, but you don't state where you are so I can't recommend anyone.

I am in North East Kansas. The local dealer is new to Can Am as they were mainly a dirt bike shop. So we didn't get a good solution from them, not much experience yet.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Are there specs as to toe (sp?) and camber for the front wheels. That might explain how at higher speeds very little handlebar input equals a lot of movement, kind of like counter steering on a two wheeler.

Looking forward to your suggestions!!

If you're anywhere near to Springfield, MO,check out Pit Bull Powersports. They are rated as one of the best dealers in the country.

Turns out there was a DPS recall on this unit. Replacing the DPS cured it all!!
