Hello One and all.I am a new Spyder Ryder and this is my first post on a forum. I bought a used RS manual unit this week a late 2008 model with very low Kilometres/miles on the clock. I am wanting to set it up to my own tastes and would like to know if anyone can tell me how to remove the passenger backrest and reinstall the plain tail cover. Please help a complete newbie.

I read about it. You need to remove side rear panels, remove battery, remove shiny backrest block and strap, then reattach original.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1336259132.260897.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1336259161.676747.jpg

If you are talking about replacing the backrest with the cover that comes with it, there is a red knob under the seat toward the rear. Pull it and it will release the backrest and you simply snap in the cover in its place.

Yeah thanks for the infoTierhog and Trickie Dick. Complete removal seems a bit too involved for me right now so the red knob bit works good enough
