I have a 2011 RT Limited and I had to replace my brake pads after 4500 miles. Since the replacement, the new pads have only wore down less then 25% and I have put over 2500 miles on the new pads. My question to my fellow RT riders is how many miles passed before you have had to replace your brake pads. I am trying to get an average of brake pads replacement knowing that everyone has different driving habits. I was told it was my driving habits that caused the excessive wear, however I am driving the same and the pads are not wearing down anywhere close to the previous pads. The new pads are a redesign and according to BRP it was to alliviate the squelling that was reported as a problem from the past .

I have 11,000 on my 2011 RTS, and the pads are still going strong. Half that mileage was towing a trailer. I had 6,000 on my 2010 when I traded it, and those were still good, as well.

I have 14,000+ on the front and still at about 50%. My back brakes were replaced at 12,000 when I had the 12K service while the tire was off. Seeing you can ride the brakes without throwing a code you must be stopping hard to waer them down so quickly.

I had to replace after 5,000 miles (rear brake pads, caliper and rotor ) Have had noise problems since 600 miles. After now being on my thirdset of brake pads---at 8800 miles, the back up noise (sounds like a sick cow) continues to exist and have numerous questions from passing public on "what is that noise". My dealer has been gracious with their service and attention that I ask for... BRP's reply...we are working on it..... From this and other forums I have learned that they have been working on it since 2010......SAD SAD SAD
