BRP is looking for some input...

All right Can-Am Spyder owners, as some of you may have heard, we are planning to have our annual owner event in Durango, Colorado next June. Since that means a very long journey for a lot of riders, we are thinking of holding it during the week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) giving people ample time to get home before the work week begins. We would like to know everyone's thoughts and figure this is a good place to ask. So, thoughts?

What do you think?

Actually, this location is in my back yard, but by holding it midweek, I'll get the opportunity to explore before and after the event.

it's under 800 miles so for me it's just a day, that's not normal for most ryders as some where around 500 - 600 miles would be more normal.

In my opinioon you could not have chosen a better area for a Spyder convention. Colorado has about everything a Spyder rider could want. I've done that trip and all the way from Mexico City. Once again you can't beat Colorado for a Spyder convention. Been there and done that. Arthur---Mexico City

Great I'm packed and ready to go. Make it official so people can make their plans.
Also, is there one place where all Spyder Events are listed?
Looking to be more active but hate not having a go to site. Maybe there is and I
am uninformed.

Colorado would be great. We have wanted to revisit that area for a long time now. Any days of the week suit us and hopefully in the middle of June.

Way to far for us to ride, 3-4 days... So, we'd have to decline. :(

3 days each way as we are in orlando. Mid week is the only way it would work as to not take off two weeks from work. Also need to have confirmed dates soon so I can request time off from work. Failure to plan in planning to fail... Come on, lets get something concrete going!!!

Wat too far for us in NH --- hopefully we will be able to make a future one when it's on the East Coast again. I'd think during the week would be best for days though--giving people time to get home, and not have to take off extra time.

Interesting that a 2 or 3 day ride is to far when I traveled to Tenn., Illinios, and even Wash. DC for events from the west coast. There should be alot more events on the west coast and mid west before it goes back to the east coast just to please those few ryders that don't ryde the spyders but for a short distance.

If you don't ryde greater distances you will never do any events in less they are in your bacyard.

I would hit every event if I had enough money too regardless of the location

Hi all, I am in BC and seriously considering heading to Durango! There were a few comments about too far to ride :riding: Well it is about 2400 KMS or about 1500 Miles from where I park my Spyder here in Canada!!

I bought my Spyder to ride it B) Not idle it to the corner and back "LOL"

Looking forward to the trip. Is there any other western Canada Spyder Riders wanting to head down with me????????????????

Well if we both go, we will be coming from opposite directions and have quite an impressive accumulation of miles :)

Is there going to be an official website for this event? It's a little over four months away, but I would like to do some early planning.
I will be trailering my bike because I don't tent camp...too hard on my back. I do plan to camp.
Thanks.

I have been away for a while but just got a 2012 RTS. Would be coming out of either AZ or NC depending on when in June. Any updates?

I will not be going to this years event, will not travel that far for a BRP event. As for having it in the middle of the week, on less I was already off I would not attend any event that is held in the middle of a week and would not ask for the time off.
