I heard a funny noise and the hand brake crapped out awhile back so I scheduled a dealer appointment and he ordered what he thought he might need to cover a one trip visit. Got down there in 22 degree weather but no snow at least and after pulling all the crap out of the way we discovered the cable was just sitting there in mid air and no longer attached to the bell crank which sets the brake. Put it back on and reassembled everything and in the process the upper mirror catch broke so it is cobbled back on there and the parts are ordered to replace it. What a weak link that bracket is! The design engineer should be hung for that design debacle. Really a weak link no matter how you look at it. Have no idea why the cable came off the bell crank and hope it doesn't reoccur. There is nothing holding it in place so I have my doubts that I won't be going back in there to fix it again at some time in the future. Very poor design as many other things are on the trike I am afraid. Keeping my fingers crossed every time I get on it. Bill

If this is a spyder, they don't come with a hand brake. That's the clutch lever.

+Since there's no OEM hand brake yet, you should be b!tching at whatever aftermarket producer you bought that from, not the vehicle manufacturer.

Unless a dealer mounted it for him.
+Not if the design of the supposedly weak bracket is at fault as he claims, versus improper mounting.
