Hard time starting between stops Rate Topic: -----

I have a 2010 RT SM5.There is no problem starting it up in the morning..it kicks right over..However,after stopping for a few minutes to get a coffee or whatever..re-starting becomes an issue..It can sometimes take up to 3 times to get it started..I am using 93 octane..could this be the culprit?....any suggestions?

The hot restart thing is a known issue with the 2010 RT. There is a workaround. If the Spyder fails to start quickly, crack the throttle slightly and try again. This usually gets it started. If it is particularly stubborn, open the throttle all the way (Wide Open Throttle) to initiate the flooded engine cranking procedure. Crank the engine over at WOT to clear the cylinders. The engine will not start at WOT. Release the throttle and start normally. This should do it. If it doesn't, try the cracked throttle again. I never had to go beyond this with my balky 2010.
