We will be going again this year also--hope it is a longer event this time since you guys got such a great response ! We rented a house right outside lake placid for 800.00 and stayed the entire week --it's what we will be doing again for sure Got to take our pups, have friends come up, and enjoy a beautiful deck during our time off the Spyder !

I heard rumors that it will not be in the Adirondacks. It already past time for some to put in for time off for next year.

I hope it is--or at least somewhere close to New England. It was nice to be able to go to event and not have a 1000 mile drive or more. Plus the Adirondacks are great riding !

That better not be true.

It's to late for Holly's for vacation anyway. Holly had to Schedule hers yesterday and if it does not fall on the week she already put in for, we will not be going. It's to bad because we had fun last year, but I'm a little upset that when people inquire about the dates, nobody responds. They do not have to give the details, but they should have posted the dates and location by now.
I know it must be alot of work to do put on such an event, but if they need help just ask. I do not want to see this event move out of NY, but if it does I will put something together for us NY'ers.

We apologize for the delay. Though picking a date would seem relatively simple, due to the events that go on in Lake Placid and at the casino, coordinating something that does not conflict with another major event at either location is a bit of a challenge. We are trying to avoid needing to reschedule dates like we did last year.

Still no dates ? Almost January now...would think that avoiding Iron Man in July would be a main concern.

Unfortunately we had to go back to square one. The Mohawk Casino will be under construction in the summer of 2012 and it appears that they will not be able to host us again this year for the closing event. That recent change has created a need for us to find a new location that can accommodate 200-300 people and their Spyders.
We hope to have some options outlined by early January. We'll keep everyone posted.

The Casino was so out of the way last year we didn't attend closing ceremonies admittedly. We had planned to but we had friends in town with us that weren't up to that long of a ride so I can't say I'm entirely disappointed about the casino being out as a final ceremonies spot this year--hoping you guys find a replacement more centrally located to the other activities Know how hard that can be --good luck ! Keep us updated. It'll prob be the only Rally we attend this year if it takes place due to time.

There is allot of places in Lake Placid to do something like this, unfortunately you snooze, you lose. I will be at the NYSSA annual convention there in April and I would guess upwards of a thousand people. They should already be working on 2013 dates. Sorry Mark and Craig, but this is my opinion.

Having the casino host us last year to me was nothing special I enjoyed the BBQ location much better, it was way out of the way for most of us to head home and to tell you the truth if I knew it was going to be the way it was I would have skipped it all together. I do hope it will be somewhere in the northeast again, and dear God DRY this time please.
