Hello fellow Spyder riders! :riding:

First time post here, so please be gentle. Just bought a 2009 SM RS….not sure if I am blowing this out of proportion or if it really is a valid concern. I have notice that when shifting to first gear from a stop that there is a “clunk” sound and the bike will lurch a little (a few inches). I have check to make sure that I have the cluck fully engaged and have check the clutch fluid. Everything seems to be okay.

Am I over reacting or is this normal behavior.

Thanks!

If it is a cold engine (trans), cold weather, and a "wet" type clutch,.......might be normal. If it goes away when everything warms up, make sure yout trans fluid is correct. Still could be normal.
