I have had my Spyder for a couple of months When you buy the Limited it comes with a communication cable , which I assumed did nothing unless you have a CB or Ipod. But what is that setup for? the place I bought the spyder from is a little less than helpful and I get the feeling it is because they have little knowledge about that part of the package because maybe they have not sold enough of the limited bikes? Who knows? I do not have a Ipod or a CB so I just never pluged it in. There is a Button on the left handle bar for something that has to do with this cable communication I think? Can anyone tell me were to find information on this , I have the manual that comes with the bike and found nothing there.

Your post is a couple of months old by now, so you may have your questions answered by now, but I'll put in my two cents worth anyway. I also have a 2011 RT Limited, and I installed the CB/Intercom kit in mine, so I can answer your questions. The communications cable you mention, I think refers only to the connection between the Ipod plug in the trunk and the Ipod, or another compatible device. The button on the left handlebar is the push to talk (PTT) switch for the CB. It doesn't do anything unless you have the CB/Intercom module installed. When you install the CB/Intercom kit you have to run cables from the module (mounted just ahead of the right saddlebag behind the panel) to the front, and from the module under the trunk to the left side for the antenna and another connection to the communications harness. The instructions that come with the kit are pretty comprehensive, but it is a lot of work. If you ever consider adding this to your RT, I suggest that you bite the bullet and let your dealer do the work.
