Has anyone had problems with the rear trunk on the RT closing properly. I have to slam mine down several times before it catches.

We had this issue on a 2011 RT Limited. We called the local dealer and are taking it in next Friday. We were told this was a recall item.

They all do this...in part because they are airtight. Close the lid, then rap the bottom with the palm of your hand. That does it every time for me.

Thanks Scoty - I called the dealer about it, said I had hear there was a recall, they told me I have 3 recalls on my spyder, but that wasn't one of them. I wonder if they would have told me about the 3 recalls, if I hadn't called........hmmmmmmmmm, so now I have to take it in to get those done. I can only remember 2, something with the throttle and something with the brake, which both could be serious. :-)

They are not recalls, they are Warranty Campaigns. currently for the 2011 RT there is the throttle body update (2011-7), the middle side panel grommets, (2011-8) and the parking brake spring (2011-9). Unlike a recall, where you are notified, warranty campaigns are usually addressed by the dealer at the time of service.

BTW the push on the bottom did the trick, I guess I was just closing it wrong, I need to show my dealer so they can be informed the next time I see them (LOL). Thanks Scotty

I close mine and I know it is not fully closed so I push down once more without slamming it and it clicks shut everytime.
Never take "no" from someone who has no authority to say "yes".
