Hi, I am looking for some much needed insight. My local dealer has a 2011 RS-S se5 which he's at 16,700 plus tax. Its the broze\orangeish color. What's everyones feelings on the SE5? Is it cool or do you guys miss the clutch? I'm thinking without a clutch it would be hard to do a burnout, lol. Also, I'm at a loss between the 2 colors. I like them both, what's everyones opinion? I am 33 and never ridden bikes because I always thought they were so dangerous. All I hear is how safe these are but what makes them so much safer then traditional bikes besides the obvious stability issues. Thanks so much!

The SE shifts faster than the SM but you can't dump the clutch so burnouts are a little more challenging. I think I would learn to ride it a little before I worried about burnouts.

I have a 10' SE5 and came from a HD and while it was weird to me at first have grown to like it, I commute with mine.
You still shift so you still control the revs that way.
You can still get it to "dump" in 1st gear, I think it is even a feature of the nanny-ware.
I think the SE's also have better resale anyway.
Welcome to Spyderdom.

I have had both transmissions and to me the auto is faster out of the hole and lights up the tires big time,if thats what you are looking for.
Also the price you have been quoted is great, good luck with your purchase.
