I am looking for inexpensive saddle bags for occasional use. The hard side from BRP are awfully expensive for once or twice a year use. The Nelson-Rigg look like they would work but has anyone tried them? If so, which ones did you buy and how do you like them? Anyone have a better alternative?

+Just a guess, but the SPRT-40s or 50s (and probably others) should work well:

I have Cargo Basics soft bags with three crossover hook/loop straps that tuck under the seat (that used to be there) quite nicely. I can't imagine the Nelson-Riggs wouldn't work as well, and the prices seem reasonable.
Now, are you intending to carry a passenger while using them?..

I have a set of the Nelson Riggs CL-850's that I used once. I'd be willing to sell for $100 shipped CONUS. They worked fine but I bought a trailer so I don't need them.
