I have the handlebar riser installed on my 2009 Spyder. The lock that should engage when the bars are turned full left or right will not work on my machine. Is it possible that the handlebars cannot be locked with a riser installed? If this is not the case, any idea why I cannot lock the bars?

The handlebar lock is a simple extension that fits into a bracket on the handlebar stem. When you add the riser the two no longer align. You could bolt a small extension to the original bracket and re-drill a new hole.
