Tire Pressure Settings on the 2011 RTS/SE5

I have a 2011 RTS/SE5 with about 1200 miles on it. I have been experimenting with different front and rear tire pressures. The Tech said he found 20/28 to be best. I have used that and also 18/28. Front shocks are set at 3. Yesterday I tried 15/28 , which is the recommended settings from BRP. It does seem like a soft ride with 15/28. I want to make sure that this is good for tire wear and also for handling. Does anyone use the factory settings, or is everyone closer to 20/28 ? I am an easy rider who shifts just over 3,000rpm along with letting the gas off a bit. I get 35 miles per gallon and never go over 65 mph at about 4,700 rpms. Any and all opinions are appreciated.

I to played with T/P, I seemed to always get the front to bite and dart running at lower pressure. I've been running around 26/28 and shock set to max. We took a 3k mi trip and averaged about 32mpg running hwy speed. Wind is the only issue we encountered as far as handling. The front tires seem to cover the ground equally, time will tell. We are at about 6k on milage and tires are wearing even. There is no doubt it is trial and error. But not alot of room for error.

Rear pressure at 28psi is wearing the center of th tire and a few who have run only 23 or 24 psi have even wear. I am trying 24 and find t hard to get th back tire to spin. It must be getting a better contact patch. I hope to get the outside part of the tread to wear.

Anyone have suggestions for easy rear tire inflation? I am finding it a very frustrating experience.
Two m onths and no one responded? I use another board and there are "experts" all over the place.
I had a metal extension that was much too long. Took it off and just use the "nozzle?" attached to the hose. Problem disappeared. The use of alternate tires is a huge one. I read some good posts and think I'll go with Kuhmo or someone and then some other post will convince me to stick with the Kenda. I've got 7300 miles on my RT and all 3 tires are 5mm everywhere. The problem being the "book" says to change the rear at 4mm (5/32 and the front at 2.5 mm (3/32.) 4mm is a lot of tread to throw away. I know the Spyder needs it for control, grip and several other things. People have run Bridgestone Potenzas on the front and at 40 psi have 22,000 and going strong. That sounds pretty safe to me, but the thought lingers "recommendations" by the OEM are pretty strong suggestions that maybe they are right. I've got a few thousand till the back one will be out of here and replaced by something.
