ok. time for my 2 cents.
How I tie down my Spyder is to cross the straps on the side of the Spyder after I back my Spyder into my truck. From the front tire back towards the cab of my truck (the front tie downs), and then I go from the rear tiedowns to the part of the frame that is just under the driver footpegs. The footpegs are not ment to hold the weight of the spyder bouncing, they were designed to hold the drivers feet, so they are not a good place to tiedown the spyder on.
As for the SuperClamps, IDK if they are worth $400 but for conveniance, there wouldn't be many things better....for my rv. it'd be impossible for me to use them in my truck.
only time i might buy them is when/if my idea for modifying my future semi-truck to hold my spyder on the sleeper, but having the 2.5" lift, would comprimise the room in the sleeper. but it may be a few years.
