I cant get my Iphone to operate through my stereo. Its as if the system does not recognize the phone. I can start a song on the Iphone and it plays through the system, but when the song ends thats all she wrote. Unless I pull over and start another song. It was working fairly well when I first got the RTS, but now nothing works on the Iphone. My phone has a message that says this device is not optimized for use, or somehting like that. It has always given that message, but worked ok most of the time initially. It used to randomly not recognize the phone, but now it is all of the time. The song titles dont come up or anything any more. I have had the bike since March. The dealer gave me a new connector cable at the 600 mile tune up, but no change. Also, the radio doesnt pick up worth a hoot. Has anyone else expereinced these problems and poor reception on the radio?

I have had my RT Limited for two weeks and have just about 600 miles on it. I have an iPod Touch with the most recent iOS update connected to the Spyder and have not had any failures yet nor do I get any incompatibility or optimization messages. It is hard to say weather the AM/FM/Weather radio has poor reception since there are too many stations between Milwaukee and Chicago anyway. Have you tried connecting an iPod instead to see if the same problem exists? Might help to narrow the issue down to either an iPhone issue of the Spyder's Stereo system and iPod connector and cable.
