Good Day I am a new spyder owner I have a 2009 RS. I travel 62 miles round trip daily. My bike squeaks at slow speeds
when I apply the brakes lightly the brakes squreech more. I have brought this to the attention of the service folks at
my dealership and was told that yes they do that and that is the way it is. I could take air and blow the brake dust off the calipers every 100 miles or so and this would help. Not really was my experience. Frustrated I called customer service
at BRP they said yes they had some squeaking and that the 2011 and late 2010 models have a third generation pad. I would
have to have my dealler contact the tech folks and they might good will a replacement for me. My service folks told me that they would contact them but that brp warrenty/tech are slow to respond and odds are not good for me also that they had never heard of a third generation pad. Now frustration had turned to irritated. I am a mechanic for a living and don't do well
with mixed stories. I contacted the owner of the dealership and expressed my issue and felt less than happy. He assured me they wanted to help me and would find out what the deal is. No call back for three days. I called BRP once again and I'm sure the customer service person listened to me yet really wanted me to go away and gave me a ref number for my call. I called the owner back again and gave him the number (he probably regrets giving me his cell #) told me this will help by the end of the day no call back I called again. Amazing the number got me a set of good will pads on there way. I now have 1400 miles on my spyder I have to wait a week for parts then wait for an appointment for the work I hope for the best. Just curious am I stupid or alone in my expectations of service for the future? I was Service Manager for over 25 years I work on everything from a weedeater to a backhoe now. I love my bike. I'm not so sure about help for issues in the future. Thanks any comments accepted

Hi Deano
Nothing new in your observations on the noisy brakes. Do a search on " Spyderlovers.com " and you will see this issue has been going on since the Spyder came on the market !!!!!!!
There are a multitude of ways suggested to stop the noise of the squeeling, one of the best is to get some good earplugs. ( only joking ) True to say that others have reported the newer pads have reduced the noise, but I just live with it.
